    Özet

    Medeniyetin üç anlamından söz etmek mümkündür. Bunlardan birisi genel olarak medeniyet tarifidir ki, toplumdaki teknolojik, fikri ve sosyal gelişmeleri içerir. Bu anlamdaki bir medeniyet, bütün toplumların katkılarıyla oluşmuştur. İkincisi coğrafya ve toplumlara bağlı olarak oluşan medeniyet anlayışıdır ki bu medeniyetler o toplumların isimleriyle tanımlanırlar. Roma medeniyeti, Hint medeniyeti gibi… Üçüncüsü ise, Said Nursi’nin kültürel unsurlardan arındırarak ifade ettiği, Kur’an medeniyeti kavramıdır. Kur’anî prensipler ve maddi görünümlerinden oluşur. Bu çalışmada medeniyet kavramı etrafında şekillenen üç anlam irdelenecektir.

    Abstract

    It is possible to mention three meanings of civilization. The first one is the general definition of civilization that covers the technological, intellectual and social developments in the society. The civilization in this sense was built by contributions from all societies. The second understanding of civilization depends on geography and societies and is associated with their names. The third one is the concept of Quranic civilization cleared of cultural elements which is expressed by Said Nursi to be formed of Quranic principles and their material appearances. This work examines the three meanings shaped around the concept of civilization.
